Title: Pumpkin Yeast Biscuits

2tbYeast
1/2tsSugar
1/2cWater; warm
1/2cButter; melted
1cMilk; scalded & cooled
1cPumpkin; mashed
1cSugar, brown
6cFlour
2tsSalt
2tsPumpkin pie spice
1tsGinger, ground

Dissolve yeast and sugar in water. Let stand until bubbly.

In large mixing bowl, combine yeast mixture, butter, milk, pumpkin, and brown sugar. Add flour, salt, and seasonings. Stir until soft dough forms. Knead on floured surface until dough is smooth and elastic (about 10-12 minutes). Place dough in greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise until double in size (about 2-3 hours).

On lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/2" thickness. Cut out biscuits with floured 1-1/2" round cutter. Grease baking sheet and arrange biscuits close together on sheet. Cover and let rise until double in size (about 1 hour).

Preheat oven to 350 F. Bake 25 minutes, until golden brown.
